‘Interiors from Spain’ returns to Downtown Design 2024 with an immersive experience designed by B8 Architecture, an award-winning Spanish studio based in Dubai.
The design concept for ‘El Patio’ at Downtown Design is deeply rooted in the essence of Spanish design and vibrant culture of the UAE. As a Spanish designer based in Dubai, Kristina Bråteng, CEO and Founder of B8 Architecture, was inspired by the historical ties between the two regions. This connection influenced the creation of a space that not only reflects the richness of Spanish culture but also resonates with the local and regional context.
Key elements such as arches, water features, and lush greenery are quintessential to Spanish design and form the backbone of the installation. The inclusion of a pergola adorned with vibrant bougainvillea captures the essence of Mediterranean living, adding color and life to the space. The pavilion is more than just an exhibition space; it’s a celebration of shared heritage, where the 10 featured brands can complement and support each other under one roof.
Exhibiting brands: Ape Grupo, EsPattio by Forma5, Inbani, Isimar, Lladró, Ondarreta, Point, Porcelanosa, RS Barcelona and Vibia.
