Last night, guests were immersed in the traditional architecture of Al Shindagha as Poltrona Frau (@poltronafraume) unveiled its latest collaboration with Fornasetti (@fornasetti): the ultra-exclusive Vanity Fair XC Middle East Limited Edition armchair.

Inspired by the Ramadan season, this iconic Poltrona Frau design is upholstered in a special version of Fornasetti’s Mediterranea landscape scene.

In celebration of the holy month, THAT Concept Store (@thatconceptstore) also showcased a curated selection of accessories created in collaboration with Fornasetti for this occasion.

For Amphora’s first Pick of the Week of 2026, we chose this kinetic structure by GN Architects (@gnarchitects_official): the Seaside Pavilion on Chaishan Island, China.

Welcoming visitors to the island’s largest village, the award-winning project draws inspiration from the trees that have traditionally played this role. The wind-driven installation offers shelter and makes use of the existing 1960s cargo pier.

Recently, Iwan Maktabi (@iwanmaktabiofficial) brought together the design community for an exclusive preview of “When Earth Dreamt In Gold” by Hechizoo’s (@hechizoo) in the presence of its creative director, Jorge Lizarazo.

Two years in the making, the solo show with sculptural works and a masterful use of natural elements and metallic fibers will now be showcased at the upcoming edition of NOMAD Abu Dhabi (@nomadcircle), from November 19th to the 22nd.
